Planning your first time at a trampoline park like be.UP Park? We can understand it can feel a bit overwhelming.
What do you wear? What should you pack? Are there rules you need to know before you arrive?
A little prep makes it much easier to relax while the kids (and adults) explore the trampolines, climbing walls, and giant maze at be.UP Park.
Our beginner’s guide walks you through what to wear, what to bring, key safety rules and food and drink options at be.UP Park. Plus a quick note on our waivers so you can make the most of every minute on the courts and courses.
First Time At A Trampoline Park: What to wear to be.UP?
The goal is simple: move freely and stay safe. You’ll be bouncing on trampolines, climbing Clip ’n Climb‑style walls and tackling aerial obstacles, so your outfit needs to work like activewear, not everyday streetwear.
Great options include:
- Sport leggings, joggers or fitted track pants without zips, studs or metal details
- Sports shorts with a snug waistband that won’t slide down when you jump
- A fitted T‑shirt or breathable gym top that won’t flap into your face
- A light jacket or hoodie you can easily take off once you warm up
Things to rather skip:
- Jeans and stiff fabrics that restrict movement
- Dresses or skirts that ride up on trampolines and climbing elements
- Very loose tops that can flip over your head
- Belts, buckles, chains or any clothing with sharp bits that could scratch or snag
Like most indoor parks, be.UP Park requires special be.UP grip socks on the trampolines and activity zones for better traction and hygiene. It’s important to budget to buy a pair on your first visit or bring them along if you already have some. (PS – we accept most grip socks with adequate grip)

Our dedicated crew is ready to assist every step of the way.

What to bring in your “jump bag”
You don’t need loads of gear when visiting an indoor play park, but a small essentials bag makes the whole experience smoother for kids and grown‑ups.
Things to pack:
- Grip socks (if you already own be.UP or other trampoline park socks)
- A refillable water bottle to keep everyone hydrated between activities
- Hair ties or headbands for anyone with long hair
- A small towel and spare T‑shirt for enthusiastic jumpers and climbers
- A secure strap or band if you or your child wears glasses
Things to leave behind:
- Jewellery like necklaces, hoop earrings, watches and rings
- Loose coins, keys and phones in pockets that can go flying mid‑jump
- Chewing gum and messy snacks that can end up on mats and trampolines
At all the be.UP locations, there are lockers or safe storage areas so you can stash valuables while you focus on play. In addition, valuables can also be left with parents staying behind at the Café.
First Time At A Trampoline Park: What Are The Food Options?
All that climbing, jumping and navigating the maze is hungry work. Fortunately, you don’t need to arrive with a full picnic when you visit be.UP Park – our café setups are designed to keep both kids and parents fuelled.
Depending on the location, you can typically look forward to:
- Barista‑style coffees, teas and hot drinks so parents can enjoy a proper cuppa while the kids play
- Cold drinks like bottled water, juices and slushies to help kids cool down between sessions
- Kid‑friendly light meals and snacks such as pizzas, wraps, toasties and snack boxes
- Treats like popcorn, chips, sweets and baked goodies for a post‑play reward
As with most indoor parks, outside food and drinks (other than water or specific baby/toddler items) are usually not allowed. It’s easiest to plan on buying snacks and drinks on site rather than bringing your own.
If you need to catch up on emails or work while the kids explore, many of our be.UP venues offer café seating, power points and Wi‑Fi, giving you a comfortable base while still being close enough to keep an eye on everything.
Safety Rules You Should Know
Every South African indoor park runs on clear safety rules so guests of all ages can enjoy the activities without unnecessary risk. be.UP Park is no different, with trained staff supervising all areas, including the trampoline zone, climbing arena and kids’ maze.
Expect rules along these lines:
- Grip socks must be worn on all relevant activity surfaces
- Long hair should be tied back before jumping or climbing
- No belts, sharp objects or loose jewellery on trampolines or climbing elements
- One jumper per trampoline at a time – no intentional double‑bouncing
- No head‑first dives into foam pits or onto airbags
- No running across pads, between trampolines or through busy zones
be.UP staff are on the floor to explain how each attraction works, help nervous first‑timers and step in if someone forgets the basics, so you never have to guess what’s allowed.
PS: For more information on how we keep our parks safe, have a look at our trampoline park safety page.

Fun activities for the entire family.
Waivers and getting the most from your visit
Like other trampoline and adventure parks, be.UP Park requires a signed waiver for each jumper. It’s a standard safety step to confirm you understand the rules of the park and agree to use the equipment as instructed.
To make your visit as smooth as possible:
- Complete your waiver online beforehand if the specific park offers this option.
- Check the age guidelines for areas like the toddler zone, climbing arena or the aerial course.
- Aim to arrive 15–20 minutes early for check‑in, socks, wristbands and a quick briefing before your session starts.
- Coming with a large group of kids? Have a look at our packages for group outings.
Once you’re inside, let the kids move between the trampolines, maze and climbing walls at their own pace, encourage regular water and snack breaks and use the café as a central meeting point.
With the right outfit, a simple essentials bag and a handle on the basic rules, your first visit to be.UP Park won’t just be stress‑free – it will feel like you’ve discovered your new favourite indoor adventure spot, no matter what the weather is doing outside.
