Many of our guests come to us for birthdays, outings and family fun — but there are children who do not often get the chance to enjoy experiences like this. By partnering with the Sporting Chance Development Foundation, we can help change that. And with your support, we can welcome even more young people for a day filled with energy, laughter and fun.
Who is the Sporting Chance Development Foundation?
For more than 30 years, the Sporting Chance Development Foundation has been using sport to make a real difference in young lives across South Africa. Their belief is simple: every child should have the chance to play, learn and grow, no matter where they come from.
As a registered NPO, Sporting Chance creates safe, structured programmes where children can enjoy different sports in a fun, supervised environment. Along the way, they build important life skills like teamwork, discipline, respect and confidence. Sport becomes more than just a game — it becomes a way for children to learn, connect and believe in themselves.
The organisation works closely with schools, communities and local partners to reach children who may never otherwise have access to proper sports facilities or coaching. Their coaches and facilitators are there to guide, encourage and support each child, helping them feel included and inspired. Through coaching sessions, holiday clinics and tournaments, Sporting Chance continues to create positive opportunities for children every day.
Most importantly, Sporting Chance gives children something special to look forward to: a place where they can feel safe, active and encouraged, and where the lessons they learn on the field stay with them for life.
Why We Partnered With Sporting Chance
At be.UP Park, everything we do is about movement, fun and memorable family experiences. We love seeing children run, jump, climb and explore in a space designed for adventure. That is why this partnership with Sporting Chance feels like such a natural fit.
We know that many children in under-resourced communities do not get the chance to visit places like ours. Even when the opportunity exists, transport can be the biggest challenge. Sporting Chance is already working closely with these communities, so together we can make these visits possible in a practical and meaningful way.
Through this initiative, we can welcome Sporting Chance participants into our park and give them a day where they can simply enjoy being kids. It is about more than a visit — it is about creating a space where they feel welcome, included and free to have fun.

We want to welcome these children on a regular basis, not just once off. The biggest challenge is getting them here safely and reliably. For many of them, transport is the one thing standing between them and a day full of fun and laughter.
The excitement is there — the children are ready to come, ready to take part and ready to enjoy the experience. Without transport, though, they simply cannot get here. That is where you can help.

When you pay, you can choose to round up your purchase to the nearest R10, or add a donation amount of your choice. No contribution is too small — every rand helps put a child on the road to be.UP Park.
Every cent goes directly towards transport costs that help children from Sporting Chance programmes visit our park. Together, we can turn a normal day out for your family into an extraordinary day for theirs.
